- Have a strong long-term motivation
Learning the language involves actually want and not be discouraged by the difficulties that arise anyway.

- Practice
You learn Japanese for speaking and writing, you can find many ways to converse orally and in writing. You have to be in direct contact with Japanese. If there is no Japanese around you, make knowledge via Internet and chat on skype for example.
