Kansai region


The Kansai region, called Kinki region officially (Kinki literally means the vicinity of the capital; In fact, The ancient capital Kyoto is located in this region). Kinki region is a geographical area located in west central Honshu, the main island of Japan.
This region is the second largest region industrially. It includes the cities of Osaka and Kobe (one of the most important ports in Japan) that form the commercial center of western Japan.
Kyoto
Japan's capital was, until the Edo period, located in this region: Nara during the time of the same name from 710 to 794, then Kyoto 794-1868. Kyoto is famous for its temples, its sanctuaries and other historic sites classified as World Heritage in 1994, Kyoto attracts millions of visitors each year from around the world.
In the center of Kyoto, you will discover the imperial palace (you must make a reservation by presenting your passport, 20 minutes before tours 10am or 14h).
Gion Corner, is the ideal place to discover theater and traditional arts.
Temple Sanjusangendo stands for 1001 statues of Kannon giltwood.
 The Katsura Imperial Villa, is considered one of the jewels of architecture and traditional Japanese landscape garden.

Osaka


Osaka is the third largest city in Japan and the financial center of western Japan. It is also an industrial center. It is crossed by several rivers, including the main one is the Yodo.

Amanohashidate which is a sandbar in the Wakasa Bay in northeast of Kyoto Prefecture, is one of the three most beautiful views in Japan.


Osaka was a cultural center that saw the development, for example, the traditional theatrical styles bunraku (puppet theater) and kabuki (epic theater) of Kamigata, born in the sixteenth century are considered soft and delicate.
If you want to distract yourself or do some shopping, do not miss the Umeda and Namba.
The Kaiyukan aquarium is one of the largest aquariums in the world. It has a reservoir of 5,400 m³ and a collection of about 580 aquatic species.
