Numbers
In Japanese, the numbers are now writing mainly in Arabic figures, but of course there are Japanese characters for each.
Here are the numbers, with their kanji and pronunciation:

What time is it?
To ask the time in Japanese, we say いま何時ですか ima nanji desu ka? "What time is it now?"
Telling Time in Japanese
To answer and tell time in Japanese, we say, for example, 4時15分です。yoji-jûgofun desu. It is 4:15.
Japanese language generally works as English with AM and PM. So we say:
- 午前 Gozen '"morning"
- 午后 gogo "in the afternoon"
