Beaches in Japan

Japan is a country composed of four main islands (Hokkaido, Honshu, Shikoku and Kyushu) and a multitude of small islands that stretch over 3,000 km, benefit the country of varied climates. Rich in forests and mountains, the Japanese archipelago will surely amaze you with its beautiful coastline. the Japanese did not have our culture of bronzette. But look carefully, we find that magical combination of white sand, blue sky and turquoise water.


Shirahama
The most famous Kansai beach is undoubtedly that of Shirahama. This white sandy beach is ideal for paddling in turquoise waters or to learn how to surf! The area offers many activities: aquarium, amusement parks ... This region is also famous for its hot springs: Shirahama offers many outdoor baths with stunning views of the coast.

Emerald Beach
That says "Japanese beach" necessarily mean Okinawa, This archipelago in the far south of Japan is a paradise for diving and snorkeling (manta rays, turtles, coral reefs and associated fish ...). Enjoying a tropical climate all year (but preferably visit between late June and late July due to weather conditions).
Very famous, this white sand beach is located in the heart of Ocean Expo Park, which contains in particular the magnificent Churaumi Aquarium, one of the largest in the world!


Yumigahama
Izu volcanic peninsula formed in part by the eruptions of Mount Fuji, is a resort popular for its beaches and small ports. At its southern end, near Shimoda (Izu one of two major stations, with Atami north), a long beach lined with pine trees stretches for 1 km: Yumigahama ideal destination for picnics and beach fires in summer. And a few miles north, Shimokamo is one of the reputed spas in the area, include the hot springs which also supply an attractive tropical garden.

Asakawa Ozuna
To be sure not to be disturbed by the crowd, the island of Shikoku is generally a good destination, especially its southern coast, deserted in favor of large northern cities such as Takamatsu and Matsuyama.  It is here, in this south, that extends to the Pacific face the beautiful beach of Asakawa Ozuna. Even in the middle of August, there is tranquility guaranteed to bathers and equipment are numerous despite the low number of visitors (parking, showers, toilets, lockers). Surfers look for waves go a little further south side Kaifu, or north to Tainohama. It’s on the same beach that, each year, between May and August, sea turtles come to lay their eggs in the sand.
